12 Questions to Move you to Action....Life Coaching Activities
“Both success and failure are largely the results of habit.”
Napoleon Hill
Each and every day brings with it a challenge, some bigger than others. It might be getting up an hour earlier in the morning to achieve a planned for goal or climbing the highest mountain in the world.
Each of these actions needs a first step.
The drive and motivation that you need is always within you, I know it doesn’t seem that way at times but it is there!
This time of year can get us bogged down and stuck, especially if we live in the north and have to face frigid temps and snow banks every morning. I offer you some Life Coaching Questions that may help you and your clients get unstuck and Move to Action.
These are questions from my book, Life Coaching Activities & Powerful Questions.
Please use and share with others. Pick one to ask yourself every morning. Pick one to ask yourself every night.
So ask yourself:
1. What do you really, really, really want?
2. Why do you want it?
3. What is success to you?
4. What does it look like?
5. How will you know when you have become successful?
6. How will you know when you have found it?
7. What is holding you back from getting it?
8. Do you believe you can get it?
9. What motivates you?
10. What are your intelligences and talents?
11. How can you make the greatest difference in your own life?
12. Who do you have to Become in order to achieve what you Want to achieve?
Take on this challenge everyday for several weeks and see if you can be Moved to Action!
Pick a question that feels good to you.
Get that Idea out of your head and Move it to Action!
Have a great day.

Tired of Being Tired? The Role of Food Intake.......... Life Coaching Activities
This week I will be offering Thoughts from my Personal Trainer.
As you know, my Blog offers Life Coaching Activities & Tips for the varied parts of your Life. Our physical being, our Body and care of this body is essential to any success we might wish to achieve in Life. My Personal Trainer keeps me fit and healthy allowing me to achieve success in my choosen areas.
This is part Three of a three part series on, Are You Tired of Being Tired?
by Sean Mullowney, Holistic Personal Trainer. Sean shares thoughts on how food influences our Energy.
FOOD
The top reason for visits to the family doctor last year was cited as a lack of energy. We have looked at the role of water/hyradtion, sleep and today we will talk about Food.
The third factor that is usually neglected is the quality of the food.
Most people give little thought to what they ingest but will spend hours researching the latest computer, TV or car. The average person typically purchases food like house supplies and tries to get the best deal regardless of quality.
Did you know that we replace 2 million cells a second in our bodies and these cells come from the food we eat? If we eat dead food that can sit in our cupboards for months and years without going bad then we are the by-product of that choice.
Questions or Food for Thought!
1. If you were given only one car for your lifetime and it was a high performance car wouldn’t you take care of it?
2. Wouldn’t you give it quality gasoline to make it run efficiently, enable it to last longer so you could enjoy it more?
What's your answer?
Organic food on average has about 50% more nutrients than commercial foods plus no pesticides , fungicides and herbicides. Whenever you are in doubt if a food is up to par then ask yourself if the food has been around for 10,000 years and and if you can pronounce all the words on the label and you’ll get your answer.
These three suggestions seem quite obvious when first looked at but remember that it is just information if not put into use but becomes knowledge when applied.
So if You are Tired of Being Tired...assess your
1. Hydration level
2. Sleep
3. Quality Food
Make the adjustment and watch your energy soar!
Please share with family and friends...they will have more energy and thank you for it.

Part Two Sleep .....Are You Tired of Being Tired?.......... Life Coaching Activities.
This week I will be offering Thoughts from my Personal Trainer.

Our physical being, our Body and care of this body is essential to any success we might wish to achieve in Life. Sleep Sleep Sleep
The second recommendation for increasing mother nature’s horsepower is to get enough sleep.
This may seem obvious to most but the majority of people don’t get enough sleep.
Prior to 1900 and the advent of the light bulb people were getting between 11-13 hours a night. Now, most tend to stay up late watching TV or surfing the net and then eventually wake unrested the next morning and thus need stimulants like coffee or sugar to make it through the day.
This can have a cyclical response because those foods can interfere with proper sleep/cortisol rhythms thus creating a need for those foods again the following day.
Sleep plays a vital role in our healing.
During waking hours we are primarily in a catabolic (breaking down) state and when we sleep we are in a restorative or anabolic state. The way the body responds is that we achieve our physical repair between 10pm and 2am and then our physic or nervous system repair between 2am and 6am. This is why those who elect to stay up late can still go to work the next day and focus, but their body feels less than ideal.
Some of my clients who have had joint and musculoskeletal issues for years have gotten better just by getting to bed earlier.
Be conscious that if you are falling to sleep in less than 5 minutes once in bed then you are probably sleep deprived.
Take your sleep seriously.
As Sean says......"this is just information if not put into use, but becomes knowledge when applied."
So if You are Tired of Being Tired...try Sleeping.
Later this week.....Part Three...Food.
Please share with family and friends...they will have more energy and thank you for it.

Hydration
The top reason for visits to the family doctor last year was cited as a lack of energy.
This is not surprising given the fast paced culture people set as their standard. We work more than we used to, watch more TV, dine out and try to squeeze family time in on top of this hectic schedule. No wonder coffee sales are doing great as an energy medication. Like in every circumstance, there are options.
One of the first things I get my clients to implement into their daily routine is an increase in water. We are about 85% water so the effect of being hydrated is enormous. In this knowledge economy, most people get paid to think, so think of your brain as a raisin when dehydrated and like a plum when hydrated.
Just a 1% drop in hydration will affect the nervous system and cause dehydration. Common signs of dehydration include headaches, dry skin, constipation, fatigue, hunger, muscle cramps, and joint pain to name a few.
How do you know if you are hydrated? Well, your urine should be clear or slightly yellow and ideally your stool should float.
Many people comment that they drink juices and caffeinated drinks in place of H20 but unfortunately this doesn’t cut it. Caffeine drinks will have a dehydrating effect on your body while juices and sport drinks, which contain plenty of sugar, also dehydrate.
This is a hard concept for most to understand after being heavily programmed by successful marketing. The ideal amount of water to consume is half your body weight a day in ounces. For example a 150lb. person needs 75 ounces a day and even more if they are exercising and /or drinking caffeinated beverages.
So if You are Tired of Being Tired...try hydrating.

How do you achieve Success as a Life Coach? Life Coaching Activities & Tips

How do you achieve Success as a Life Coach?
The answer to this questions is; when your Client is Successful so are you!
How then can you help your Client achieve success?
As a Life Coach you are hired to help each and every one of your clients reach success. This will be different for each client. It is extremely important for your success that your client is successful.
The Road to Success is paved with many integrated parts.
I always find it interesting, when first working with clients, that they sometimes will struggle to define past Successes. In part this is due to the focus and attention our society contributes to the concept of Success. We all have had successes…everyday is a success. It depends on what you want to achieve.
Success doesn’t have to be winning the multi-million dollar contract. It can be, if that was your goal.
Success comes in all shapes and sizes and is defined solely by the Achiever or in Life Coaching, the Client.
Success will only happen when the following are in place and are appropriate for the Client.
Strategic Plan.
Plan based on a clear Vision.
Goals.
Actions Steps.
Accountability.
Persistence.
Now this may seem like a lot of work but remember nothing comes easy. You can spend many hours and a pocketful of bills but you will not find a magic solution. Your success will come with a determined effort. Each and every one of these pieces and parts are necessary for Success.
One of my favorite quotes in relation to the work needed to be successful comes from Michaelangelo, when, in reference to his masterpiece David, said, “ If people only knew how hard I worked they wouldn’t be so amazed.”
If you truly want to Achieve your Goals and be Successful, remember only you can make it happen.
Why not Start now.
