Good morning to all my subscribers! Hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer season. Wow, life has been very busy for me with two family weddings this summer. Wonderful but BUSY!!
The other day I was feeling somewhat overwhelmed with all this busy and struggled for awhile until I took a deep breath and reminded myself of what I would offer my clients who are overwhelmed.
I sat down and with my favorite 'pen & paper' I started my list of everything that had to be done. I would like to share that with you as summer is for relaxing but weddings, family visits, camping, travel can overwhelm and spoil the enjoyment.
Hope you find the following useful.
Get Pencil(pen) & paper....I call ...........
Think it. Ink It
When things stay in our head they get all jumbled up and can seem overwhelming.
Exercise # 1.
(a). With paper and pencil(pen) write out everything that you can think of that needs to be done over the next month.
(b). Now next to each item categorize them by A, B, or C, with A being the most important thing to be accomplished...B being the 2nd most important and C being not as important as A or B.
(c). Okay, now create separate lists; an A list, a B list and a C list.
(d). After each item on the A list write down a completeion date for each item.
(e). Next take the first item on List A and write out the smallest steps that you have to take to make it happen. Ask yourself, 'what is the very 1st thing I have to do to make it happen'? Example. If it means making a phone call then the first thing is to get the correct phone #.
REPEAT (d) & (e) with List B and List C.
Hope this helps bring more relaxing time to your life.
If you don't use this summer it may come in handy as September approaches and kids head back to school.
