Think
Positive Thoughts…
Watch Your Life Change
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed
How often have you heard this or read it in a self-help
book?
Think Positive! Seems
simple enough.
Did you know that you have over 50,000 thoughts a day and
that 70% of these are negative!
Yes that’s over 35,000 negative thoughts a day. No wonder
some days feel like low points in your life and business.
Why so many negative thoughts you might ask?
Well these negative thoughts have been forming since the day
you were born. You wrote them on your subconscious mind. They came from parents,
siblings, family, friends, teachers, co-workers and you took them as fact and
implanted them in your subconscious mind.
These negative thoughts create limiting beliefs such as:
I’m not good enough….I’ll
never have any money….I’m too skinny….I’m too fat….I’m too short…I’m too tall…..I’m
useless at sales…I’ll never make it to the top..and on and on. I’m sure you
can add a full list because they have been in your thoughts for your whole
life.
70,000 negative thoughts a day! Negative thoughts are really limiting beliefs.
Limiting Beliefs cause you to self-sabotage.
Feeling stuck? Procrastinating? You have Limiting Beliefs.
You need to discover just what these limiting beliefs are
and learn to release them.
A great tool to help with this is Emotional Freedom Technique,
commonly known as Tapping.
If you would like to have your limiting beliefs released
email me, I can help. phyllis@coachphyllis.com

Heal Yourself: Drug-Free Healing By The Power of New Science Ancient Wisdom

Near-Death Experience of My Son Book Excerpt
Heal Yourself: Drug-Free Healing By The Power of New Science & Ancient Wisdom (Barnes & Noble)
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
My latest book Heal Yourself : Drug-Free Healing By The Power of New Science Ancient Wisdom reveals how the knowledge and energy gained from Louise Hay allowed me to heal myself.
Near-Death Experience of My Son Book Excerpt
This was my doorway to questioning
what at that point I accepted as an infallible institution. I believe now that
the culture and society in which I grew up, one of a strong Catholic faith,
discouraged any questioning. My perception of education was "Don't
question but accept all authority on blind faith."
My life experiences changed that.
It took the near-death of my first child to shake me into the reality and the
humanness of our health care providers.
At the age of twenty-seven, I began to
question. I began looking at my health and the health of my children with more
responsibility. I think as a mother I instinctively did this, but it became
more ingrained in me to look at alternatives to our accepted medical system.
My Book is available.
Heal Yourself: Drug-Free Healing By The Power
of New Science Ancient Wisdom is now available from
Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Heal Yourself
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Good morning, it has been awhile since I posted to my blog. I hope the past few months have been good to you. I have been busy with family, work and writing and I'm delighted to announce that my latest book
Heal Yourself: Drug-Free Healing By The Power of New Science & Ancient Wisdom is now available on Amazon & Barnes Noble.
This book reveals how Louise Hay healed me.
This is a book of life. It shows how our bodies are truly us.
This book shows that good health can be as easy as having a chat.
This book illustrates that we are one with the universe, and that our power comes from the universe, the source. It demonstrates the general knowledge of, ask and you will receive.
In retrospect, knowing what I now know about our life’s energy and the connectedness in the world, I know Louise Hay sent energy to me so that I, too, could offer healing to others.
As you read my three stories, you will see how I came to understand what Louise Hay taught me and how it became a part of my being. Now as a certifi ed emotional freedom technique (EFT) practitioner, I continue to offer (in my way) what I learned many years ago from the guru of energy healing, Louise Hay.
I hope that as you read you too will take this information, make it your own, and heal yourself.
This is in part the psychology of how and why self-healing happens.
Louise Hay instinctively knew this. I believe she was placed here to direct as many of us as possible to the healing path.
Twenty years ago, this amazing woman understood what she had to tell the world, and tell the world she did.
I only hope I continue to attract and lead people on this healing path.
In Part I, I share my stories of self-healing. In Part II, I give the science behind the healing in self-healing and how it can work for you. And in Part III, I share the language I used, and continue to use, to heal myself through body-chats scripts.
If you would like to know more about my Body-Chats, please email me Phyllis@coachphyllis.com

Want To Be A Life Coach?
Want To Be a Life Coach?
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life Coach
I know it isn't too spring like in some parts but it is that time of year when we start to focus more attention to our next personal or professional project.
Have you moved into Spring mode? Got all your ducks in a row? Moving forward with your Plans?
Most of my clients want to make a change in their life, that’s why they hire a Life Coach. Some come to me with their idea well worked out but they are not moving forward. They are not taking the necessary action to move toward their goal. In their own words they say they want everything to be perfect.
If the great movers and shakers in the world had to wait until everything was perfect I probably wouldn’t have the technology to write this blog. Too many times we want everything to be perfect before we take that step to start our own business, change careers, show -off out latest invention, publish our book, or to deliver that workshop.
Waiting for Perfection may end lack of movement. I’m sure you have heard the phrase, "over analysis creates paralysis."
Just recently while on a teleconference, I heard a young woman say that she was ready and prepared to be a life coach but didn’t feel like one. How do you feel like a life coach? a pilot? a doctor? a model?
William James a great psychologist coined the phrase, ‘Act As If.’ His theory was that if you want to be something (occupation) determine just out how they behave and start acting like them. This is all related to the theory of how our thoughts determine our behaviors. “Acting As If” you had already achieved your goal.
Life Coaching Activities
Act as IF and see what happens. Here are some Life Coaching Activities to move you to who you want to be:
1. Use professional language when introducing herself.
2. Create a professional business card.
3. Develop a professional website.
4. Create a professional email address.
5. Have a professional picture of yourself on your website and LinkedIn.
6. Talk the talk (of Life Coaching) and walk the walk.
7. Believe in yourself.
8. Keep learning!
Act As If is a technique you can continue to use to build self confidence, attract clients and be successful.
You have all the power you need to do what you want to do or be what you want to be.
“If you can think it, you can achieve it.” Napoleon Hill
The next time you delay or stall on a goal try out “Acting As If” you had already achieved it. Put your mind into that space. Act as if and see what happens!

Happiness is........?
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life Coach
Thanks Subscribers for your input...a request for info on happiness came from several of you so I hope this helps.
Happiness is................
I think that some of you know that my first grandchild, a beautiful little girl was born 17 months ago and of course like any good grandma when I'm with her I love to play games. One that she favored at about 12 months was...If you're happy and you know it clap your hands." This little activity brought her great joy.
If your happy...joy?????
As adults we sometimes forget that these two emotions, feelings are essentail to life and success.
We know happiness when we see it. We also know joy...but just how much happiness and joy are in your life right now?
What happened from the time you were learning to skip, play ball, twist that hoola hoop, skate or just hang out and laugh?
You got busy. You have work to do. Families to take care of. Houses to clean. Places to go. Perople to meet.
Early on in my coaching career I had a male client in his early 50's who achieved all he could in his career...he was bringing in millions to his company. Why then you might ask would he want life coaching. In his words..'he had lost all the joy from his life' and he wanted it back again. Life was no longer fun. He had trouble even feeling joy when he was with his children.
It happens!
We get so caught up in our To Do List, now To Do Lists are essential, I'm the queen of To Do Lists but we also need a LIFE.
Let's place on the To Do List a note to take time to laugh, have fun or just hang out. Now define what would make you laugh or feel joy. Here is a list that some of my clients use to restart their Happiness/Joy area of Life. These are also some of mine.
1. Get out in nature. Depending on where you live that might be your back garden, a city park or a golf course. Turn off your phone and walk slowly noticing sounds, smells, colors.
2. What was your favorite game as a kid? If you can still do this without harming yourself give it a try. Share with your kids or grandkids. They just might be excited about a good old board game.
3. Watch a funny movie. Laugther is medicne for the body and spirit. :)
4. Spend time with a comfortable friend, family member.
5. Volunteer. Giving always makes us happy.
6. Stop watching the TV news before you go to be...or stop watching completely for a week.
7. Last but not least............
No matter which activity you choose...Choose first to be Happy.
Make every day a Happy Day!!!! Smile, Smile and Smile some more.
I offer a free consultation if there is any part of your life that your would like grow or change.
Love to hear form you.

The Power of Self Talk
The Power of Self Talk
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life Coaching Activities & Powerful Questions
Have you ever listened to how you speak to yourself an about
yourself? I always say that if we spoke to friends the way we speak to our selves
we would be alone most of the time.
Most of us are not even conscious of the language we use.
Many times it comes from the language our parents used or we hear constantly
from our friends.
Our self talk directs our life. No doubt you have heard the
phrase you are what you eat, well I always say…you become what you think…in other
words the words you use, how you speak on a daily basis creates your life. This is
not just my thinking this has been proven that our language creates our future.
Have you ever been invited to a party and you moan and groan
and say, ‘ I hate to go there , I know I’ll
have a miserable time.’ And you do!
You may have also experienced the opposite…’Wow, I’m looking forward to having a great
time at this party.’…And you do!
It has to do with your subconscious mind that directs 95%
of your behaviors. It listens to what you say and is very obedient. It is like your
computer..what goes in..comes out.
Life Coaching Activities
& Questions
Here is a Life
Coaching activity I use with my clients to help them focus on the self talk.
1. Pick up a little booklet, doesn’t have to be fancy.
2. Take one full week to note the language that you use.
This will be language throughout your day, with family, friends and colleagues.
Write it in your booklet.
3. Take another week and do the same thing.
4. What do you notice? What language are you using in your
daily life?
5. You may want to continue for another week to note your
talk.
6. Now Change. If your talk is not 100% positive you need to
Change.
7. Change your language and you will begin to experience changes
in all aspects of your life.
8. Give it a try. Your Life will thank you!
Please use and share.
If there is a change you need to make in your life contact me.
Let’s chat. I offer a free consultation session.
I offer both individual and group Life Coaching.

Self Love Equals a Healthy Heart
Self Love Equals
a Healthy Heart
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life CoachLoving Self leads to a healthy heart.
The most important Love to focus on is Love of Self. If we don’t love our self we can’t possibly love someone else. Loving self, accepting self, nurturing self are necessary for a healthy self and a healthy heart.
1. If we don’t love our self we are filled with self hate which leads to Stress.
2. If we don’t accept our self we filled with self doubt which leads to more Stress.
3. If we don’t nurture our self we will suffer from lack of sleep and nutrition which also causes a Stress.
Stress can cause high blood pressure and heightened levels of cholesterol. Therefore lack of Self Love will cause physical Heart problems. So yes Self Love will keep you healthy.
What are you going to do to Love yourself today?
I invite you to make a list of how you will Self Love. Pick up a little booklet or use a calendar and each day note what you do for your Self. Show the Love to You!!!!!! Your Heart will thank you.
Start your Self Love Challenge.

Make It a Month of Self Love
Make It a Month of Self Love
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed
Life Coach
Many years ago I remember reading that inorder to love others we must love ourself first. However in much of my formal education and the culture in which I was raised 'self-love' was seen as being a negative trait...a person so called 'full of themself.' I was fortunate that within my family self-love was encouraged. I came to understand that self-love is indeed a necessity not only for loving others but for success in life and work.
As you start this month of Love start with Self Love.
Give it a try!
Everyday say something nice to yourself.
Look in the mirror and compliment yourself. Accept the compliment.
Self Love it key to your happiness, health and success.
You have heard me say before that your thoughts define your life. Start Loving yourself and watch the change!!!

Good morning and a big Happy New Year! Wow what a busy 2012 is has been. Was your's busy?
We had two weddings, my youngest son got married in June and and my second oldest son married in September. Oh yes and my granddaughter turned one in September... a memorable year!
How was your year? Busy and memorable too I'm sure. Isn't that Life?
I thought I would begin the first of my Blogs for 2013 with some quotes. Many times when I post a quote I will get responses from people saying that it was exactly what they needed to hear on that day. Quotes can be powerful.
We are now 21 days into the new year. How are you progressing with your Resolve? Do you have one? If not think about your Intentions...next Blog will focus on your Intentions and their role in directing you.
These are quotes that have worked for me in the past. Quotes that are not too heavy but hopefully thought provoking and help you with what you resolved for 2013.
If you like them, print them and post where you can see them. Please share with colleagues and friends.
Life Coaching Activity Quotes for Resolve
"Remember ...When something that you have to do comes into your thoughts….write it down."
Coach Phyllis
"You have to think about the big things while you are doing the small things, so that all the small things go in the right direction. " Alvin Toffler
"When you say out of sight, out of mind… this is not what truly happens…..it lingers in the mind. So deal with it." Coach Phyllis
"You have the most experienced planner in the world……….your brain". David Allen
" Your thoughts direct your Actions....choose your Thoughts carrefully" Coach Phyllis
I would love to hear your favorite moitivation quotes, Please share in the Comment section.
Read these daily. Ask yourself just what they might mean to you. Post. Persist with your 2013 Resolve.
Have a great day!!!
I do individual and group coaching, let's chat to see if I can help you. I offer a free consultantion session.

Taking Action for 2013 Life Coaching Activities
Your Life in 2013
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life Coach
If 4 frogs are sitting
on a log and one decides to leap off in to the pond, how many are left?
The answer is 4…deciding is a thought, it is not an action.
I attended a conference recently where one of the speakers
asked this riddle. ….deciding to do something doesn’t create action….the
decision must lead to the very first Action Step. So as long as the frog was
sitting there deciding the # remained the same.
What Decisions will you make for 2013?
What Action Steps will you take?
You don’t want to be sitting in the same place 12 months
from now. Let the Actions begin!
We all have brilliant plans, plans that can change our lives
but many times those plans stay on the hard drives of our brain…never to see
paper and ink. They become Opportunities lost. Dreams unfulfilled!
It doesn’t have to be that way in 2013. If you decide and
then take action, great things will happen.
Don’t wait for someone else. You take control and make it
happen.
From Decision to Action Life Coaching Activity
1. What have you decided to do in 2013?
2. Ink it! Get it out of your thoughts and on paper. This is
your Goal.
3. List all of the Action Steps you need to reach this Goal.
4. Take each of these Action Steps and break them down into
smaller Action Steps.
5. Create a time line for each Action Step. In your calendar
indicate completion times.
6. Make it happen!
Be kind to yourself as you move forward. If you hit a speed
bump in the road, slow down but don’t stop, keep moving in your direction.
Caution: Many times we underestimate just how long it will
take to complete an Action Step. Everyone works at a different pace. Judge your
time for completion based on your past experience. This is all about you and
for you.

Perception Is Not 20/20
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life Coach
“The real act of discovery is not in
finding new lands but in seeing with a new set of eyes." Proust
Write out the answers to each of these questions. This exercise will help you self reflect and become more aware.
Life Coach
Isn’t
perception an interesting thing?
Have you
ever been with a friend and you see something in the distance and you are
convinced that it is one object but your friend is 100% sure it is something
completely different. Now you are both operating with 20/20 vision But your
Perception has been formed by differing experiences and this greatly impacts your view of the world.
When you
meet someone new or are working with a new client it is very important to
understand three things about Perception.
1. Your
perception of Life and the world may be different from your client’s.
2. Your client’s
Perception may not match what you expect.
3. Everyone’s
Perception can be Changed.
Perception
or should I say a broadened Perception is necessary for bringing about Change
in life.
I have the
following quote by Marcel Proust framed and hanging above my desk so I am reminded
daily of the need for new outlook both for me and my clients.
How you
perceive yourself and how you perceive others influences every aspect of your
life from work to parenting to relationships. It is an important part of life success.
Life Coaching Questions for
Perception Change
1. What change do you need to make in
the way you see the world?
2. Are you open to change?
3. How do you see other people?
4. What one thing can you do
differently tomorrow?
Please use and share. If you feel you would like to make a Change in your life please mail me. phyllis@coachphyllis.com
If this is your first time at my Blog you are welcome to subscribe...check out Feed Burner to your left!
Have a great day and remember to check your Perception.

Thanksgiving in Canada....Life Coaching Activities
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life Coach
This is a reprint of an article I wrote 2 years ago. Happy Thanksgiving! Please share.
Although many of the First Nations in Canada had a long tradition of celebrating the harvest and giving thanks this time of year, the very first formally recognized Thanksgiving Day began with Martin Frobisher.
Frobisher and his crew had been trying to find a northern passage to the Pacific Ocean and to celebrate a safe return from that search Frobisher celebrated with a Thanksgiving celebration.
In the year of 1578 he held a formal Thanksgiving celebration in Newfoundland. This was one of the first Thanksgiving Days held in Canada.
You may not have taken on something as risky to personal safety as a search for the Northwest Passage but life can get very challenging at times and it can be difficult to see the positives or reasons to be thankful.
There exist as of recent years a full body of research based on Positive psychology; the basis of which states that the more positive one is the higher your degree of life satisfaction and the greater your wellbeing.
To me giving thanks, or let’s say, finding reasons to give thanks can be tied closely to Positive psychology…so why not give thanks....be positive...benefit greatly from this mind set.
Life Coaching Activities for Thanksgiving
1. If you don’t already have one, create a gratitude list. At the end of each day note at least one thing for which you can say thanks or be grateful.
2. This weekend or sometime this week email, phone or a drop a note to someone, possibly from your past, who was a help to you in your career or life. Won’t they be surprised! They may even copy your actions.
3. Daily, give a recognition to those at work or in your life who are integral to your success but sometimes are taken for granted.
4. Become aware of your personal health and abilities and give a thanks to yourself for all that you have accomplished.
5. Create a Focus of Gratitude. It creates a Positive energy and flow and benefits you and everyone around you.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Positive Thoughts on Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed.
Life Coach
It is like a moan and groan epidemic.
Did you know that moaning and groaning are not good for your health?
Did you know that your thoughts direct your behavior?
Did you know that your thoughts influence your health?
Did you know that you become what you think?
Each and every one of these complaints results in:
Think about it! The Woos lead you to both physical and
emotional dis-ease. You have a choice. Choose to let go of the complaints. Switch your Focus to all the Positives you have going on. They are there, take time to look.
My Mother always said, ‘if
you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all’.
Try to incorporate that thought into your everyday language…your
body will thank you for it!!
www.coachphyllis.com
Life Coach
So many times in our life and on a daily basis we focus on
our problems…
We hear it all around us….the woos and worries of the world
I call it. Complaints about everything from the weather, traffic congestion,
cost of gas, teenagers, you name it and there is a complaint. It is like a moan and groan epidemic.
Did you know that moaning and groaning are not good for your health?
Did you know that your thoughts direct your behavior?
Did you know that your thoughts influence your health?
Did you know that you become what you think?
Each and every one of these complaints results in:
1.Negative thoughts
2. Negative thoughts
create negative emotions in every cell in your body
3. Negative emotions
cause these cells to become ill at ease or dis-eased
4. Therefore your Complaints
cause you to become sick.
Here is a Positive Thinking Activity for You
1. At the end of the day reflect on all of your negative words.
2. Write them down on paper.
3. Now rewrite them in a positive reframe.
4. Daily be conscious of the words you use and before they
leave your mouth try a positive spin or reframe.
5. Check your mood as you use these positive
reframes. Notice a shift?
Have a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving!!!
Stay Positive!
