What is the very Next Step?
It’s January 26th, 2011. How are you doing with that Resolution you made?
Have you created a plan for yourself but just can't seem to get moving?
Finding yourself pulled into a parking spot along life’s highway? If so take a break, pull back out and continue along the way.
The following are Life Coaching Activities & Powerful Questions that I use with my clients. Hope they help you.
The Mighty List
Have a list of things to do at home or at work?
Feeling confused as to where to start?
Take a few minutes,
Take a pencil & paper and prioritize that list.
Focus on the item listed as # 1.
Next Step
Ask yourself what is the very next action you have to take to make this goal/task happen?
Look closely at how you have defined that Next Step. Can this Next Step be expressed in smaller action steps.
Are there resources you need in place to help you achieve this goal. List them.
Time Frame
Now set a time to start this next step, date& time. Write this down and keep where you can see.
Reminders/Structures
Reminders are key. Create a reminder for that next step. A favorite symbol, stuffed toy or quote.
Rewards
Reward yourself when you accomplish tasks. You deserve it!
Make sure you Persist. Stay with it. If this is something you really want, mak it happen.
Have a great day.

2011 New Year's Resolution...Life Coaching Activities.........Part Three
Phyllis Reardon M.Ed
Life Coach
“We can do anything we want to do if we stick with it long enough”
Helen Keller
Part Three of Successful New Year's Resolutios.
The next step in being successful in achieving your New Year's resolution is, Persistence or stick-to-itness.
Successful people never give up and if one way doesn’t work they try another. This is the least sexy step to success, but as essential as the others.
To help with maintaining Persistence, it will be necessary to review your Action Plan.
Check on stated actions.
Note your completions or successes.
One little action or success can lead to more success. You know the old adage, ‘nothing succeeds like success.’
Life Coaching Activities & Tips to Increase Persistence with 2011
1. Think positively and be kind to yourself.
2. Review your goals weekly and note successes.
3. Surround yourself with positive people.
4. Avoid those people who pull you down.
5. Redo or update your physical environment. Even small changes help.
6. Persist.
7. Reward yourself.
8. Keep Going. Persist.
Have a wonderful hoilday season and a happy 2011. See you in 2011!

A New Decade, Are You Ready? Life Coaching Questions and Life Coaching Activities For The Next Decade
Coach Phyllis
In three days we will be entering a new decade. Are you ready? The beginning of anything new allows us to reflect on the old, not just for reflection purposes but to find out what we learned and what we might want to change.
What did you learn in the last decade? What changed in how you work and live? Our answers may all be the same in some areas. I learned to ‘Google,’ ‘Ping’ use an iphone, Skype. Activities and knowledge that came about in the past decade.
I can now have my children visit me from any corner of the world, through Skype; library amounts of information are at my finger tips. What a decade! What’s next for our world? What’s next for you?
Life Coaching Questions and Life Coaching Activities as you take on the next ten years.
1. How many decades have you lived?
2. How old will you be in Twenty-Twenty (2020)?
3. What have you achieved/accomplished in the last decade? List them.
4 What have been your accomplishments in each decade of your life? List them.
5. What do you want to achieve in this decade? Make a list on paper.
6. What parts of life and work do you want to continue to build?
7. How will your life look in 2020? (That should be the decade of clarity and farsightedness!)
8. How do you create some of that 20/20 in this decade? What can you do to help you see your life more clearly?
9. List at least one goal or task or project for each of the coming ten years. One a year.
10.Create a step by step plan. It is your life.
Make 2010 your decade!
